Warranty Policy
We stand behind every repair. Here's exactly what your warranty covers.
1. What Is Covered
Your FonePro warranty covers:
- Faulty parts โ if a replacement part fails due to a manufacturing defect within the warranty period.
- Workmanship โ if the issue recurs as a direct result of how the repair was carried out.
- Component failure โ where a replaced component stops functioning normally under ordinary use.
If a covered fault occurs, we will repair or re-repair the device free of charge. If a repair cannot be completed satisfactorily, a full or partial refund may be offered at our discretion.
2. What Is Not Covered
The warranty does not cover:
- Physical damage caused after the repair (drops, cracks, liquid damage, bending).
- Damage caused by a third-party repair attempt after we have worked on the device.
- Software issues, viruses, or operating system failures unrelated to the hardware we repaired.
- Normal wear and tear (e.g. battery capacity reducing over time beyond the warranty claim window).
- Damage caused by using incompatible accessories or chargers.
- Issues with parts of the device we did not repair.
- Water or liquid ingress occurring after the repair has been completed.
3. Online Bookings vs In-Store Repairs
There are important differences in how warranty terms apply depending on how your repair was arranged:
Online / Website Bookings
When you book a repair through our website (fonepro.co.uk), your booking and warranty are governed by the terms set out at the time of booking. Your statutory consumer rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 apply in full, including the right to a repair, replacement, or refund where a service is not carried out with reasonable care and skill.
In-Store / Walk-In Repairs
Walk-in repairs completed in one of our physical locations are subject to the warranty terms issued at the point of sale in that store. While we always aim to honour the same 90-day standard, individual store warranty terms may vary in the following ways:
- Some locations may offer extended or reduced warranty periods on specific repair types.
- Walk-in warranty claims must be taken back to the same store where the repair was originally carried out, unless agreed otherwise in writing.
- In-store receipts or job sheets serve as proof of warranty โ please retain yours.
4. Warranty Duration
| Repair Type | Standard Warranty |
|---|---|
| Screen replacement | 90 days |
| Battery replacement | 90 days |
| Charging port repair | 90 days |
| Camera repair | 90 days |
| Back glass / housing | 90 days |
| Water damage treatment | 30 days (best-effort basis) |
| All other repairs | 30 days minimum unless otherwise stated at point of sale |
Warranty periods begin on the date the repaired device is collected or delivered.
5. How to Make a Warranty Claim
To make a warranty claim, please follow these steps:
- Contact us first โ call 01709 360 786 or email info@fonepro.co.uk to describe the issue before returning the device.
- Provide proof of repair โ your booking confirmation email, job reference number, or in-store receipt.
- Return the device โ bring or send it to us. We will assess whether the issue falls within the warranty scope.
- We will repair it free โ if covered, we will fix the device at no cost to you within a reasonable timeframe.
We aim to complete warranty repairs within 3โ5 working days. Complex cases may take longer; we will keep you informed.
6. Parts Quality
FonePro uses a range of parts depending on availability, device model, and service type:
- OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) โ genuine manufacturer-grade parts where available.
- High-quality aftermarket โ premium third-party parts that meet or exceed OEM specifications.
The grade of part used in your repair will be communicated at the time of booking or at point of sale. Using our repair service does not affect any remaining manufacturer warranty you may hold separately, though manufacturer warranties for the original device may already be voided by prior damage.
7. Your Statutory Rights
Nothing in this warranty policy affects your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law, including:
- Consumer Rights Act 2015 โ services must be carried out with reasonable care and skill. If not, you are entitled to a repeat performance or a price reduction.
- Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 โ if you booked online, you may have a right to cancel before the repair begins.
Our warranty is offered in addition to, and does not replace, these statutory rights.
